Colour Day with Kindergarteners
Our world is filled with colors. The motive of celebrating this color day was to make the children aware of various colors, its significance and to develop fine motor skills in the students. Early identification of colors helps to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words which forms an important part of a child’s holistic development.
Color Day was celebrated on 13th, September, 2019. Children were excited to see the display done by the teachers. Each classroom was decorated based on the concept of 1 color per room with various attractive objects, toys and real things. Teachers and children spoke about colors and they sang rhymes on colors. It was an excellent learning experience for children, which will enhance their visual discrimination.
