Innovating with robots:
In today’s job market, there is a shortage for innovative brains. Therefore, our school has taken steps to create budding innovators, by enticing youngsters as young as 10 years old into the field of robotics. Learning robotics has helped us create a better understanding of science, mathematics and mechanics. The Newton Club meets during the activity period per week and also every evening, after class. Here, we learn science and math in interesting ways and apply it through computers. This has developed an excitement in learning about machinery and motion. We are also working on developing artificial intelligence (AI) which makes machines think on their own. Robotics is used for a wide range of activities from carpet cleaning to medical surgeries, space exploration and working in extremely toxic and dangerous environments. Thus, there is always a growing need for young and talented robotic Engineers. As a student of Dawn Shikshalaya, I am proud to say that one day I will be one among them.
